What You Need To Know Before Beginning Potty Training Boys and Girls

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:28 AM

By Penny Crane

Let's face it changing diapers is not much fun and you long to start potty training. However, this is something that can't be rushed. You have to be sure your child is ready. If you push the issue it usually ends in tears and frustrations (could be both yours and your child).

There is no golden rule that says you must begin potty training at a particular age. All children are individual. Also potty training boys can often begin later than girls and it can take longer. This article will help you evaluate whether your child is ready.

Some level of communication skills is vital. Does the child understand the meaning of basic words such as wash, dry, wet, clean, dirty, stand and sit? Can they understand and follow simple instructions such "pick up the bricks and put them in the toy box"? Or do they need added guidance or repeated instructions? Are they able to communicate their needs to you? Do they mainly point and say a few words (and you guess or interpret the rest) or can they string some meaningful words together, perhaps even sentences?

You want to see some sign that the child's bowel and urinary control functions are developing. Does the diaper need changed every one/two hours or is the child able to go two/three hours or longer without soiling the diaper.

Is your child able to sit quietly? For instance, if you were to read a story would they sit and listen attentively or would they fidget, ignore you or even wander off after a few minutes? What you are looking for is a consistent pattern not the odd occasion when they are restless.

How independent is the child? Can they do some tasks all by themselves, such as pulling up their pants? Or do they need adult assistance?

Your answers to the above questions will help you decide whether your child is ready for potty training. Remember, you should answer truthfully not give an answer you think you should.

Make no mistake about it, potty training boys and girls can be a stress free experience for both you and your child if you start when the child is ready and not before!

Adult Bedwetting Diapers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:09 AM

By Steve Valentino

Bedwetting can be a prolonged problem with individuals even into adulthood. Surprising as it may sound, many individuals secretly deal with the issue of bedwetting. It can be an embarrassing and discomforting issue that is caused by different reasons that differ from person to person. Many patients and old people who have less or no control on their urinary muscles suffer from bedwetting. The simplest and most practical way to deal with this rather embarrassing situation is the use of adult bedwetting diapers.

Adult bedwetting diapers are different from regular diapers that an adult might use during the day. Since the bedwetting diapers are meant to be used through the night, they are custom made with features like better absorbency, more dry comfort, easy disposability, etc. These features make them very responsive to the problems faced by those suffering from bedwetting. Some bedwetting diapers are fragranced to eliminate odor. The diapers are also made with strong Velcro belts, so that they can be fastened to the waist and will not get displaced during the night. Bedwetting diapers come in many sizes according to a person's waist size. Some diapers come with an elastic belt instead of Velcro, and this makes it easier to wear and use. Certain diapers are also padded on the sides with cotton or soft linen to avoid diaper rashes. The bedwetting diapers for men and women differ in shape, sizes and colors.

Adult bedwetting diapers are manufactured by most diaper brands. They are available at many pharmacies and are recommended by doctors for people who have problems with incontinence. Adult bedwetting diapers are the best solution for an embarrassing problem that can be controlled.

Free Adult Diapers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:06 AM

By Steve Valentino

Adult diapers, as is obvious by the name, are 'diapers' for adults who deal with urinary problems and bowel weaknesses. Many individuals who cannot control their bowels and their urine cycles use adult diapers. They are also used by pregnant women who feel like urinating urgently and frequently. Basically, adult diapers are mostly used by people who have less or no control over their bowel movements or urine control.

There are many diaper brands selling diapers specifically designed and targeted for grown-ups. Many of these brands often send a supply of adult diapers to users as free samples; so that their brand gains momentum and diaper users are aware of that particular brand. Often when a new type of adult diaper is introduced, the company that is marketing it will send out a few free diapers to adults who use them and are on their marketing database. In this way, customers are aware of the new brands, and if the particular brand is comfortable and easy to use, the sales of that brand pick up quickly, thanks to the free sampling method of marketing.

Many manufacturers of adult diapers also engage in another way of giving out free samples. They publish a catalog featuring their entire range of adult diaper products and distribute these catalogs among many potential customers featured on their database. The customers can then request a particular type of diaper be sent to them as a free sample. On trying the free sample, they review it; gauge its comfort, its quality, as well as its level of absorbency. It they are satisfied with the product, they will order more from the catalog at the quoted price.

Therefore, we see that users often buy products like adult diapers only after trying the free samples.

Baby Shower Recipes

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:17 AM

By Randy Wilson

Baby shower recipes are available on the Internet and in various cook books. It is a great idea to have a wide variety of snacks, drinks, and desserts since people enjoy so many different things. Most people who are planning a baby shower plan a few simple appetizers. Some juice, pop, perhaps a punch, and some desserts such as cake and cookies. Try to stick to the baby shower theme and basic flavors and your culinary work will be appreciated by all that attend.

There are cook books at your local book store that offer great ideas for baby shower recipes. There are many cook books that guide you through entertaining a variety of occasions, not only baby showers. Some of these parties could be bridal showers, Halloween parties, and holiday entertaining, not just baby shower parties.

One of the tastiest treats at a baby shower is baby shower punch. This type of baby shower punch is quite delicious and always alcohol free. The new or expectant mother would surely like to enjoy some as well! There are many different types of baby shower punch recipes. Some of the most delicious weve tried for a baby shower are as simple as orange juice, Sprite, and orange sorbet.

If you do a search on the Internet for baby shower punch recipes you are sure to find many baby shower recipes to choose from.

If you prefer, you can always have some white wine or champagne on hand to add to each cup of the punch. Be sure to check with the new mom if this is okay with her.

Baby cake is another must-have treat at a baby shower. A baby shower cake can be any sort of cake that you choose, shaped into a baby-type shape. This can be anything really, but the most popular shapes for baby showers are bottles, diaper pins, and teddy bears. Chocolate or vanilla are the most popular type of cake used to make a baby cake. You can do something a little different though with black forest, angel food, or marble cake for your baby shower.

Of course there is the other type of baby cake. It is essentially a gift basket containing items for the new parents and baby. These are usually referred to as baby diaper cakes or just simply a diaper cake.

Appetizers are also a must at a baby shower. You should have a variety of different types. Be sure to have some vegetarian ones since many people dont eat meat these days. Keep in mind that seafood allergies, especially to shellfish are also common.

A great type of appetizer is baked brie. This is always a hit at baby showers and so easy to make. All you need is a round of brie placed into a baking dish. Place garlic cloves and sun dried tomatoes on top and bake at a medium temperature for approximately 15 minutes. It should melt nicely and the cloves of garlic should be soft. This goes well with crackers or baguette rounds for your baby shower party.

Some other baby shower recipes could be finger sandwiches, crackers and cheese, spinach dip, veggie plates, and fruit plates. If you are expecting a large crowd to show up you may want to consider asking some close family members to help with the baby shower food. Making all these appetizers may sound simple, but if you are planning baby shower food for 20 or so people you could be in the kitchen for hours.

The Internet is a great resource for finding help and guidance for all of your baby shower planning.

A Daddy Baby Shower - New Twist on the old Baby Shower

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:19 AM

By Randy Wilson

Try something new, a Daddy Baby Shower. Even though no one would realistically expect a new daddy-to-be to sit around with his closest buddies, opening baby shower gifts and playing party games while oohing and aahing over the imminent birth of his child. That doesnt mean that Dad cant have a baby shower-type celebration. Daddy deserves to celebrate the birth of his child, too!

Of course, the term baby shower does invoke visions of baby themed parties. Like the one described above when planning a baby shower. So perhaps baby shower is not an appropriate name for this get-together. Why limit yourself with a label, anyway? Call it a celebrating-Jims-impending-fatherhood party, if you want, instead of baby showers for dad.

Here are a few suggestions to make this type of party one for daddy-to-be to remember:

Play Games:

Well, not baby shower games. But you can play poker, horseshoes or even a game of shirts-n-skins football in the back yard.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry:

Have tons of fattening and not-good-for-you foods. Make spareribs, cheese steaks, wings, and anything else you can eat with your hands and make a mess with. The wives wont be there to complain and you can grunt all you want. Have some beers (or soda if you prefer) and barbecue.

Last Night Out:

Take the dad-to-be out for a night on the town to rival his bachelor party. Do some bar hopping, play some pool, shoot some darts, and dont go home until you are kicked out of at least three places. Keep Dad safe, though, and designate someone to stay sober and make sure everyone gets home in one piece. You might also want to check with mom-to-be to make sure she is okay with this plan. She is, after all, pregnant and might not be all that amenable to the last-night-out-before-fatherhood party.

Gifts for Dad-To-Be:

Let the official baby shower take care of the baby necessities. Give Dad gifts for himself, or gifts that he would have chosen for the baby. Buy him a diaper tool kit, complete with goggles, rubber gloves, tongs, clothespin, and of course, diapering essentials, or a Daddy Gear Diaper Bag.

Gag gifts are fun, too. Or you could buy clothing for the new baby with Dads favorite sports teams logo or matching Dad and Baby t-shirts. Think about necessities like batteries, too. Most likely they wont be on Moms registry, but all parents know that batteries are a hot commodity in any house with children. Be creative.

And dont forget that Dad might need some reading material to get himself up to date on the latest parenting trends. Consider getting him a book on fatherhood, funny or otherwise, or maybe a magazine subscription for daddy, such as American Baby Magazine.

Ask other new dads to think about what toys or objects were particularly helpful when their little ones were inconsolable, and either buy or recommend them for the times when dad-to-be is home alone with Junior.

Comfort Dad:

New Dads are usually pretty stressed out about what there life is going to be like after the new baby comes. Be prepared to have guests tell funny and helpful stories about their own experiences with becoming a daddy. Make it a point to reassure him that his wife is not really crazy, she is just hormonal and this, too, shall pass.

Remember, daddy baby showers don't have to be like the traditional shower, or even called a shower, but you can have one for dad just the same.

And those with birch tree-pollen allergies sometimes react to cherries, apples, pears, peaches, carrots and potatoes. Herbal teas may also produce an adverse reaction in some people.

Pregnancy Facts: Coping with the First Trimester

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:28 AM

By Elysiana Canlas

The first 0-12 weeks of a woman's pregnancy is called the first trimester. It is during this period that a woman's body experiences drastic changes during pregnancy. Discomforts and others may or may not be experienced by a pregnant woman during this time, to help you cope with it here are a list of the most common changes and discomforts and how to effectively deal with them.

Morning sickness and Nausea

The stretching of the uterine muscles and the pressure on the digestive tract due to the baby growing can cause increased stomach acids, the body reacts to this increase by releasing it through vomiting. As such, a woman's sense of smell is on hyperdrive during pregnancy; this can also increase irritability as well as the probability of vomiting.

Rejoice, for this doesn't stay for the whole nine months. Usually the vomiting stops after the third month. And do not worry the vomiting doesn't hurt the baby.

To help with morning sickness, try not too eat large meals instead eat small frequent meals so that the stomach doesn't get "shocked." Also, studies show that a diet abundant in complex carbohydrates, like bread and other starchy food, and proteins can help alleviate morning sickness. Also avoid eating fatty food.

Breast swelling

The body, in its preparation for the arrival of the baby, releases progesterone and estrogen in higher levels than usual. These hormones sends a message to the breast to produce more milk, this is in preparation for feeding the baby when it comes out.

The areolas will most likely enlarge and darken. Later on you may notice that these areas start to have white bumps. There may also be increased sensitivity in the breast area and you may also see blue lines along your breasts. These blue lines are only your blood vessels working hard to supply blood to your breasts.

Swelling may increase during the latter period of pregnancy; in this case one must use a good support bra of the right size.

Shortness of Breath and fatigue

Pregnancy can cause fatigue and other emotional changes in a woman. You should know that even while you sleep, your body is feeding another living being. During pregnancy, you body needs more rest. Fatigue is normal, and should go away after the body gets used to it.

To prevent yourself from being more irritable than you are and more tired, try to get as much sleep as you can in the night. The ideal length of sleep for an adult is eight hours, try to get this much every night.

A proper diet also helps with fatigue after all you're already feeding two people. One other reason for the fatigue may be the lack of vitamins and nutrients for the both of you. Take the vitamins that your doctor recommends and make sure you eat lots of nutrient-rich foods.

Exercise is also a big help. It doesn't have to b hard exercise, a light jog a slow walk can in sense practice your body for the extra work it does. But remember, a balance of exercise and rest is needed too much exercise or too much rest can also increase fatigue.

Irritability and mood changes

Because of the increased presence of hormones, mood swings are uncommon, this happens to women monthly during pre-menstrual syndrome.

Lightheadedness

During pregnancy the heart is pumping harder to provide extra blood to the legs and the uterus, as such a woman may experience dizziness due to the lack of blood flow into the brain. Low blood sugar levels can also contribute to dizziness. The best thing to do in this case is to make sure that you eat protein rich food and frequent smaller meals.

Urination Frequency

The rapid growth of the uterus presses the other internal organs away, this includes the bladder. Usually the frequency decreases when the uterus settles into the abdominal cavity. It may return on the third trimester when the uterus drops back down to prepare for birth.

Try leaning forward while urinating. This is to make sure that you empty your bladder completely and can help in decreasing the urinating frequency.

These are the more common discomforts during pregnancy, others like varicose veins, cravings and heartburn are all normal. Being prepared early can help a lot during pregnancy. Be sure to have regular check-ups with your doctor as well as a proper diet, vitamins and exercise.

The Necessity of an Adult Bib

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:26 AM

By Morgan Hamilton

Reverting back to a helpless child as an adult is one of the most humiliating and helpless things anyone could ever experience. Wearing adult diapers and adult bibs, being unable to walk more than 20 feet or so without resting, becoming forgetful, and relying on others to care for youabsolutely dreadful for everyone involved. Yet the use of the chores that millions across the world face each and every day that they care for people at the special needs.

I've always figured that, when I get older, I was going to live alone in isolation. That way I could just slip away as opposed to being a burden on anyone else. I won't have to live being spoon fed, with the contents dripping down the front of my adult bib. I would much prefer dying than not being able to care for myself and having to wear an adult bib.

That is of course the typical reaction of a young person, but as the grim realities of age creep up on them, their attitude tends to change a bit. Is having to wear an adult bib enough reason to end it all? I wouldn't think so. What about adult diapers? Humiliating yes, but for many, life continues. And in that way, one by one the ravages of age creep up on you until it is not just adult bib and adult diaper, but senility and dementia, brittle bones and feeble mind, liver spots and arthritis. Wow, this has gotten really depressing hasn't it? I guess it basically comes down to the fact that you do the very best you can with what you have. As many people with faith would say, God will never give you anything that you cannot handle.

But just the same I think I would love quietly in seclusion in my late years. That way, as long as I am reasonably fit, I continue to live, but there is a built in safeguard to keep me from becoming a living vegetable by degrees. There is nothing so humiliating about an adult bib if you are the only one there eating, but as soon as it gets to be too much, or life starts to become too tired, I'll be able to do it.

Jump off a cliff if I'm feeling frisky, run in front of a car if I'm mischievous, or if I've mellowed in my days, simply overdose on sleep pills and call it a night forever. Sounds like a pretty easy way to take care of things doesn't it? People get so hung up on life that they will put up with any indignity from adult bib to permanent tube feeding and life support just to extend their life by another month or so. I've never really understood this because in my opinion it's not about the quantity of life, but the quality. Of course, to each his own.

Morgan Hamilton offers his findings and insights regarding lifestyle. You can get interesting and informative information here at adult bib.

Baby Shower Decorations - Impress Your Guests With Your Flair

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:16 AM

By Madonna Jeffries

You are in charge... In charge of what you might ask? You have been given the responsibility to plan and successfully execute the best baby shower ever! Have you started to feel the pressure yet? Well the primary objective is to put on a great party and to make it a memorable occasion, especially for the mom to be. One of the key aspects to hosting a fantastic baby shower is to make sure the baby shower decorations are unique and creative.

Coming up with ideas for the baby shower decorations is not quite as daunting as you may first think. There are, however, a few key essential aspects of the decorating process that you should put a little extra care and attention into.

The table Centerpieces are, without doubt, considered to be the most important item when it comes to baby shower decorations, and should be designed with many things in mind. Firstly, and most importantly, the main table centerpiece should be a practical gift that the mother-to-be can take home and use when her new little bundle of joy arrives. This centerpiece should be not only gorgeous to look at, but also filled with lots of useful items for the new babe. Additionally the centerpiece creation should be able to inspire conversation amongst the guests.

Here are some excellent tips for you to follow in creating a simply brilliant centerpiece. Importantly you should start off by selecting a base that is useful once the centrepiece has been dismantled. For example why not build your centerpiece using a baby tub, diaper bag or even something as simple as a cake platter - these are all useful items that can be reused later and are all very effective when adapted as the base of the decoration.

You then add lots and lots of other equally useful items for the mom-to-be and her new baby. Good things to adorn the base with include pacifiers, diapers, bottles, new born clothes and why not top off the centerpiece creation with a large bunch of pink or blue helium balloons. These Centerpiece baby shower decorations look simply stunning sitting in the middle of the table and they will certainly be sure to come in very handy once the baby is born.

Party Favors - What would any baby shower decorations be without including some top little party favors for each of the guests? Here is an excellent idea for some beautiful low cost party favors that will be loved by each and every one of your guests.

Take some cloth napkins and fold each of them into small triangles and then pin them so that they each look like miniature diapers. You then fill these 'mini diapers' with a selection of dried fruits, nuts, candy and chocolates. Place one of these great little favor decorations on the table for the each of the guests to enjoy. Another delightful baby shower favor is a personalized candle. Source a selection of inexpensive votive candles and decorate them with a special printed message suggesting that when the new baby is born that the candle should be lit in its honor.

Now you have created a centerpiece and party favors - the next item on the list is the task of making the rest of the room (or outdoor area if the party is to be held outside) look fantastic and blend in with your chosen theme or look.

So how do you successfully transform a room or area to create an atmosphere that says "baby"? Well you can start off by taking tulle in either pink or blue or a combination of these colors and wrapping it around a strand of clear Christmas lights. Then add similar colored bows every two or three feet and this will create a swag that can be hung around the perimeter of the room or space. This looks simply stunning and is ideal to form the basis of a room's decorations.

You can also add loads of pink, blue or both colored helium balloons. The best way is to tie matching colored ribbons to the balloons and let them loose where they touch the roof of the room and the ribbons hang down giving a mystical appearance. This is a very colorful, effective and inexpensive decoration.

All of these ideas were created by hostesses just like you so why not take these suggestions and refine them so that you can come up with your very own brilliant baby shower decorations.

Baby Shower Games

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:24 AM

By Damian Sofsian

Baby showers are a fun way to welcome a baby into the world and are great occasions for the parents-to-be to receive the wishes of all their friends. Generally given by friends and co-workers, baby showers are much more than just a party. They provide a chance for the guests to have a get together and maybe even meet the new baby.

Baby shower parties usually last for 2-3 hours depending on the number of guests and the kind of party. They can have any number of guests from five to more than a hundred. It is a good idea to have a few games in the party, as they are a lot of fun and also act as ice-breakers. They are a good way to interact wherein experienced parents can throw in advice for the parents-to-be. There can be two to four games planned in a baby shower and some small prizes to give the winners. However, the main idea is not to win or lose but to be as creative as possible and to make the party as much fun as possible.

A few common baby shower games are the Name Game (forming words with letters in baby names), Feeding Time! (while blindfolded try to scoop cotton balls), Rice Bowl (try to find safety pins in rice while blindfolded), Baby Guests (match each guest to their baby photo), Baby Bingo (bingo with baby words instead of numbers), Shower Gift Bingo (bingo played during gift opening), Round the Tummy (guests estimate size of mommy's tummy), It's in the Bag (guess what items are only by touch), Off Limits! (certain action or word off limits during shower), Baby Food Game (identifying baby foods based on their appearance), Scrambled (unscrambling baby-related words), Poopy Diaper (guess which candy bars are melted in a diaper) etc.

Before planning the games, it is wise to have all information about the number of guests who are expected to attend the party. All the supplies required for the games such as pens, paper, and other items have to the ready before the guests arrive. Keep a few spare supplies in case more guests turn up than expected. Small prizes can be awarded to the guests, including candles, potpourri, picture frames, food goodies like candy, bath soaps, and decorative flowers.

Edgy Baby Clothing and Gifts

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:21 AM

By Sarah Freeland

Throughout the last couple of years, it has become increasingly popular to dress your child in a more edgy fashion. However, this isn't easily done when your shopping is done at a wholesale store or mass marketing chain. Most of the trends in baby clothing still reign supreme; such as pastel colors and sweet wording, but this isn't always what someone wants to dress their child in. You have two options the first is to purchase your child's clothing at an extremely marked up price, from a specialty shop within the mall; or to take your search online, which often times holds the possibility to save you a lot of time and money within the comfort of your own home.

There are several different ways to dress your child in a fashion forward, and edgy way. Whether you are wanting to portray the Gothic side of things, all the way to a nineteen fifty's throw back style, as well as a punk baby fashion statement. All of these things can be achieved by simply taking heed of the adult fashions. You will need to think in miniatures, however the basics are still the same when you are dressing your child in an edgy fashion.

First and foremost, you need to think of comfort before style; this is true in all fashions, however is especially important while you are clothing a child. When you are thinking of placing a studded belt upon your child, steer clear of anything that has sharp edges that may cause the child to get poked or scratched; taking into key that a lot of these fashions tend to exhibit one form or another of discomfort, however they should be toned down a notch or two to be appropriate for your child. This is even true when you are trying to throw a chain upon the belt of your skater or punk to be, as the length of the chain could pose a choking hazard if not properly thought of. Try to use common sense when dressing your child, and remember if you can find your child's edgy style in organic try to purchase them; not only do they help to aid our world in keeping green, but will keep your child from the many unsafe chemicals that normal clothing is exposed to during the dying process.

Secondly, remember that accessories are what make an outfit, it is all well and good when you have thrown together an edgy shirt or onesie, with a pair of dark wash pants. However, without those adorable edgy shoes, belt, or even a sleek pair of shades to cover those eyes; it isn't truly an outfit but simply clothes. Try to express some creativity in selecting your child's daily outfit, and if they are old enough allow them to select some of what they wear. Chances are, they will be more likely to enjoy their clothing; if they are given a choice during their morning routine, as well as during the shopping experience. Remember that an edgy style begins with a little bit of imagination, and a little creativity in finding the perfect outfit.

Show your baby's style by dressing them up in your favorite band's t-shirts and onesies. Whether it's The Ramones, Led Zeppelin or 311, there are punk rock baby clothes as well as organic toddler clothes, toddler shirts, maternity attire and diaper bags available. Other kids clothing and gift items include: Toddler skate shoes, slogan baby clothes, rompers, baby bibs, beanies and edgy baby clothes.

Another wonderful gift you can make is a baby photo album. Buy a regular photo album and pick out enough material to cover the back and front, trim around the edges with lace. Before you cover it with material, cover it with foam to give it a cushiony feel. After you have covered your album, cut a piece of cardboard in a 5x7 frame, wrap it separately with the foam, lace and material, then glue it on the front cover. Buy material paints, (or stick on letters), and embellish it with the child's name to personalize.

Other great personalized gifts include: baby pillow, picture frame, lampshade, mirror, baby utensils, baby keepsake box, diaper bag, onesie, hat, bibs, bath towels, etc ...

A Baby Shower Cake is the Highlight of the Baby Shower

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:19 AM

By Randy Wilson

When youre holding a baby shower one of the most important items that youll serve is the baby shower cake. Cakes should be the highlight of the food lineup and should be served with a selection of desserts, finger food and cookies. Cakes can come in all shapes and sizes, including baby cakes, diaper cakes and bootie baby cakes.

When youre planning what type of cakes to prepare for the baby shower youll find many babyshower cake cookbooks from which to make your selection. If you know the baby is a girl you can decorate the cake in a pink style. The same goes if the baby is a boy, in which case youll want to focus on blue or green colors.

Baby shower cakes can be either one large cake, or you can make several smaller individual cakes which can be created for each guest that is invited.

The main focus of cakes is of course the expectant mother. Baby cakes make a great centerpiece that will bring a smile to any expectant mother. Diaper cakes also continue to be popular and are easy to make and assemble.

When youre planning which cakes that you want to make you can be as creative as you like. There are cookbooks available that feature some great ideas for cakes that you can adapt to fit your baby shower theme. If the theme of the baby shower is the alphabet you can find cakes that highlight this theme. There is no limit to the types of cakes that you can choose from for the shower.

Many times the cakes themselves create the theme for the shower. This is because the cakes can be the focus and centerpiece of the entire party. You can plan all the decorations, food and themes around the type of baby shower cake you decide to feature.

When youre looking for baby shower cake recipes you can find cookbooks in the recipe section in your local bookstore or library. You can also find a selection of recipes for baby shower cakes and diaper cakes on the internet. If you cant find the exact cake that you have in mind for your baby shower you can make any adaptations that you need to modify the cake to your liking.

Cakes should be as fun and creative as possible. There may be times when you want to hire someone to make the perfect cake. But keep in mind that half the fun of a baby shower is doing things yourself. Using your imagination, and a little help from cookbooks you can come up with the most amazing cakes imaginable.

There are many different types of cakes that you can choose from or that you can use as a starting base for your own babyshower cake ideas. Baby Shower Diaper cakes can often be paired up with edible cakes. This way you have the fun of a cake made from diapers and the deliciousness of an edible cake that everyone can enjoy.

Some themes you might want to use include:

1. Sports theme for boys

2. Princess cakes in pink for girls

3. Jungle animals for boys

4. Fairy theme for girls

No matter what type of cake you take into consideration your final choice should somehow reflect the theme of the baby shower.

Planning a Baby Shower - 5 Tips For a Great Party

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:23 AM

By Sylvia Jaumann

So youre planning a baby shower for your best friend and now youre panicking because you have never thrown a baby shower before. Dont worry, here are five tips to help you plan a great baby shower:

1. Come up with a theme for the baby shower, but make sure you clear it with the mom-to-be. There are so many themes you can choose, such as Baby Book Showers (where each guest brings a childrens storybook), Diaper Baby Showers (where each guest brings a bag of diapers), Teddy Bear Baby Showers (where teddy bears are used as decorations stuffed bears, on napkins, invitations, banners, etc.) and the list goes on and on. Come up with a great theme and youll throw a baby shower that people will be talking about for years to come.

2. Include the mom-to-bes baby registry information on the invitation. This really helps guest discover what the mom-to-be needs for the baby. Also make sure you note the theme of the baby shower on the invitation as well, so that guests can come prepared.

3. Come up with some fun baby shower games. Lets face it; some baby shower games are boring, so spice up your baby shower with some unique games. Search online for baby shower games and then let your imagine go!

4. Assign someone as the mom-to-bes helper. This person is usually someone the new mom is close to such as her best friend, sister or mom. This person typically helps the mom with her food and drinks and makes sure shes comfortable. The helper also monitors the mom-to-bes emotions as she may be tired, cranky and stressed out.

5. Make sure you involve the mom-to-be in the planning process of the baby shower so she can give her input on what shed like. Surprise showers, as fun as they seem, are not always the best idea for a pregnant woman whose hormones are raging. Having mom involved also ensures that everyone gets invited who should be there.

Have fun planning your friends baby shower. Remember, if you do a great job you can guarantee that when its your turn youll have a great baby shower too!
