Wholesale Diapers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:23 AM

By Jimmy Sturo

Diapers are an extremely significant accessory during the early years of a baby's life, and in some cases, may even prove to be indispensable to an aging adult who suffers from incontinence. Thus, in this age of rising costs and tight budgets, it is quite natural for parents and guardians to opt for diapers that are available at wholesale rates.

There are wholesale rates for every commodity needed by man, and diapers are no exception to that norm. Wholesale rates are obviously much cheaper than retail rates since they are directly available to the consumer at factory cost.

Once a commodity is bought by a retailer, he most definitely raises the price to meet his expenses and add to his profit. But wholesale materials, as we understand it, are devoid of such added charges and are lighter on one's pocket.

Wholesale diapers are available at a lesser cost compared to diapers sold from a retail outlet. Many parents who look for economically profitable options for their children would naturally want to purchase these items. It is important to remember that contrary to popular belief, buying wholesale diapers does not mean that the consumer is compromising on quality and risking the baby's health or comfort. In fact, most wholesale diaper manufacturers guarantee top quality.

There are a host of websites that sell diapers at wholesale rates. There are popular sites like www.storkschoice.com, www.diapersandmore.com, www.ebay.com and www.shopping.com. However, prices should always be compared and the potential customer should always settle for the best possible deal.

Some websites guarantee very low prices, international deliveries and top product qualities. In most of these cases, the buyer has to buy a large quantity of diapers (some websites wouldn't sell less than fifty cases at a time) in order to enjoy the wholesale rates. The internet is a massive storehouse of information on wholesale rates for diapers, and consumers should do their own market research before making their ultimate choice. After all, money shouldn't be a hindrance in maintaining the health and comfort of a baby or an aging adult in need of help.

Diapers provides detailed information about diapers, cloth diapers, diaper bags, and more. Diapers is affiliated with Breast Pumps For Sale.

Baby Dangers New Parents Need to Know About

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:17 AM

By Sharon Mullen

This Spring many new parents will welcome new additions into their family. Prior to taking on this important task, most parents hear and become knowledgeable about common safety precautions like preventing poisoning or selecting the right toys but there are big, hidden dangers that parents need to be aware of. These hidden dangers, by causes not often thought of or addressed, include the potential of suffocation, strangulation, germs and re-breathing which is a proven problem associated with SIDS.

Strangulation & Suffocation

Under age one, suffocation is the main cause of child fatalities such as suffocation from soft bedding or being put to sleep on their stomach. It is more commonly known that babies should never be allowed to lie or sleep face down on (or next to) pillows, cushions, adult comforters or adult waterbeds. Also, drapes, blind cords and decorative wall hangings with strings should be out of baby's reach to avoid a strangulation or suffocation hazard.

But what most parents do not know is that having a secure-fitting crib sheet is of vital importance as poorly fitted sheets can be pulled up or come loose by itself, which can be grasped by the infant and their rib cage or neck can become entangled in it. Most parents fail to consider crib sheets as a safety risk however, many children die each year from strangulation or suffocation caused by poorly fitted crib sheets. In 2001, the Good Housekeeping Institute put 54 crib sheets to the test. All but seven failed the test, which required that they stay in place under at least 10 pounds of force. Whats more, there are no regulatory standards for crib sheets so parents need to take their own precautions.

Crib sheets that securely fit around the mattress and can not be pulled off are highly recommended including the Halo Secure-Fit Crib Sheet, a crib/toddler sheet featuring a wrap-around design that prevents the sheet from slipping, bunching or coming off. A mom who awoke one morning to find her baby entangled in a loose crib sheet invented the Secure-Fit Crib Sheet, while the baby suffered no injury, the mom never wanted to experience the situation again.

Rebreathing

Rebreathing carbon dioxide is felt to be one of the leading causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). According to the SIDS Alliance, when we exhale we exhale carbon dioxide or bad air. When a baby sleeps on its tummy, or there is soft, fluffy or loose bedding or other objects in their sleep area, that carbon dioxide can build up around their head and face. So, rather than breathing fresh air, the baby breathes the bad air. To a normal, healthy baby breathing the bad air would not cause a problem as their brain would tell them that they are breathing too much carbon dioxide and they would cough, cry, turn their head or do something to get themselves out of the challenging situation. To a baby predisposed to SIDS, their brain does not tell them there is a problem, so they continue to breath the bad air, which can then cause them to die suddenly and unexpectedly.

Therefore, it is important that parents remove everything from a babys sleep area that could cause the rebreathing of carbon dioxide. This can be difficult as parents struggle to keep babies warm and comfortable while sleeping. Endorsed by the SIDS Alliance, the Halo SleepSack wearable blanket reduces the risk of rebreathing because of a sleeveless, collarless and roomy sack design. Packed with features and available in Fleece or Cotton, the Halo SleepSack provides just the right amount or warmth for a comfortable sleep.

There is additional concern about the dangers that the traditional crib bumper may pose to infants. To many it is logical that if you cannot place a pillow in a crib, you should not effectively surround the crib with one long pillow. Again an ingenious parent who checked on her baby only to find that she had rolled up against the bumpers in her crib, with her face touching the cushions, invented the Breathable Bumpers, a mesh bumper that keeps baby's arms and legs safely inside the crib without posing the potential danger that the cushioned bumpers provide. As her baby grew older, and developed into an expert climber, this parent created a product called the Breathable Crib Shield that not only offers the breathable bumper features, but also extends higher up the crib sides to prevent those rambunctious toddlers from getting a leg up and out of their cribs.

Germs

From day one, invisible, health-threatening bacteria and viruses lurk all around baby from those in babys home environment to objects they come into contact with outside the home. Healthy adults have strong immune systems that can fend off many dangerous germs, and can pass some immunity to baby through breastfeeding, but babies are at much greater risk. As measures for getting ready for their new baby, parents are encouraged to follow special instructions for washing babies laundry and objects that baby comes into contact with as well as special food precautions. But, once baby becomes mobile there is a hidden danger lurking, bacteria laden public surfaces.

A University of Arizona study on public surfaces like shopping cart handles and changing and restaurant tables found that they have a high grade in disease-causing microorganisms from the presence of bodily fluids such as blood, mucus, saliva, and urine. Parents can protect their babies from these life-threatening bacteria by using products like the Cart Comforter and Shopper Topper for grocery carts, the Table Topper disposable "stay-in-place-mat," and the Travel Bear Changing Mat with an antimicrobial agent.

In addition, parents are encouraged to use hand sanitizers so when their hands come into contact with germ-laden surfaces and later their baby, they are not introducing additional germs, which could harm babies health. Recommended by healthcare professionals and used in medical settings for more than 30 years, the AQtiv PURE alcohol free Hand & Body Sanitizer Gel or Spray offers more protection than commercial hand sanitizers and is alcohol-free to prevent against the drying of skin. Also an ideal first aid gel, the small size easily fits in purses or car glove compartments.

Natural Remedies for Inducing Labor Naturally

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:20 AM

By Lena Leino

Congratulations! You're going to have a baby! If you are reading this, you are probably reached the advance stages of your pregnancy. By now you might be tired to wait your baby to arrive ๏ฟฝ especially if your baby has reached - and passed ๏ฟฝ his estimated delivery date (EDD). You might also feel exhausted due to the day-to-day aches and complaints regarding pregnancy. I am happy to tell you that there is good news! As long as your professional pregnancy care provider agrees, you can induce your labor naturally and help things along without medical labor induction.

Inducing your labor naturally is a great alternative to using other forms of induction. Most of the natural labor induction remedies don't cause side effects to worry about, your baby's health won't be placed in unnecessary jeopardy, and you won't suffer any ill consequences. Some of the best ways to naturally induce labor are also safe and simple. Two common ways that you can induce labor naturally are by walking, and sexual intercourse. Some women may feel more pressure when they walk. This is due to the force of gravity and the baby's head descending into the pelvic region. In fact, when many women are in labor, their midwife or health care provider will have them walk to increase or speed up labor. You can do this on your own, before labor even begins.

Sexual intercourse is also known for inducing labor naturally. When a woman experience orgasms, the body releases hormones involved in childbirth, among other functions. A group of hormones that stimulate labor to start by ripening the cervix is Prostaglandins. These may be in synthetic form through a medical prescription, but you can bypass the medical alternative and access Prostaglandins naturally. Semen contains Prostaglandins and when you partner ejaculates during sexual intercourse, the Prostaglandins in the semen will help soften and ripen the cervix, therefore inducing labor.

When women climax their bodies release the hormone Oxytocin. Oxytocin helps the uterus to contract and will strengthen the intensity of your contractions. Therefore, you can see that sexual intercourse helps stimulate or induce labor from hormones released in both the man and the woman. In fact, the medication known as Pitocin is used to induce labor and strengthen contractions and it is a synthetic form of Oxytocin.

Another method of inducing labor naturally is nipple stimulation. Nipple stimulation also releases Oxytocin. Please remember, however, to apply nipple stimulation according to instructions from your midwife or doctor because vigorous nipple stimulation could cause to very strong labor contractions.

Additionally, there are many herbs that have been used for centuries to help induce labor. Before using any herbs, you should consult with your health care practitioner or midwife. Evening Primrose Oil, Blue and Black Cohosh, False Unicorn Root, and Red Raspberry Leaf are some of the most popular herbs that are used to naturally induce labor. Before using any herbs, be sure to let your health care provider know.

Evening Primrose Oil can be very helpful in ripening the cervix due to the Prostaglandins it contains. Evening Primrose Oil is applied by inserting an oil capsule into the vagina. It is extremely important not to use any herbs for inducing labor naturally during the early part of pregnancy, as these can have serious consequences.

Finally, one of the safest natural labor inducing remedy is acupressure. Acupressure for labor is among the most studies ones and proven to be safe and effective. Because the technique is simple, this labor acupressure could easily be used at home.

Baby Shower Gift Ideas

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:17 AM

By Michael Obrien

Are you attending and baby shower and you've run out of ideas on a nice gift to give to the mom to be and the new baby. Don't fret, there is still time and plenty of ideas you can work with.

One idea is putting together a nice baby gift basket. You don't have to go out and buy a baby basket from a gift basket store, you can put together a baby basket yourself with some crafts from your local craft store, a few newborn baby toys, baby bath products, a couple of onsies or a couple of inexpensive 3-6 month outfits.

Most of your craft stores have many varieties of baskets you can use as the start of your baby gift basket. There are different designs and colors to select from, if you know the new mom to be is having a baby girl, maybe a princess style basket would be appropriate for the occasion or choosing a pink basket would be ideal. You can even find character baskets or pails which would be the start of a nice themed baby basket. Many of the craft stores also have an isle with many baby shower favors such as color plastic diaper pins, baby carriages, storks or plastic baby bootie favors you can attach to the basket by hot glue or double sided tape. The little shower favors can be your accents on your basket and even the start of your theme. You can pick up a small spool of baby printed ribbon, such as baby footprints or it's a girl or it's a boy, to make a bow for the front or attach it to the handle of your basket.

Go to a Dollar store and pick up some small baby items such as pacifiers, gel teething rings, plush baby rattles and sometimes you can find candles in the shape of baby blocks or even a pink or blue baby carriage. You can even find these candles at the craft store and these make a lovely gift just for a decoration to set on a baby dresser. Sometimes you can even find nice baby outfits at the Dollar store but go somewhere like Big Lots or a Burlington Coat Factory who usually has very nice selection of name brand baby outfits in many colors and themes.

Now that you have everything to build your baby basket, let's put it together for your baby shower gift. One good trick is to use some paper at the bottom of the basket so everything doesn't sit to low. You can use anything as filler for the bottom such as paper towels, newspapers, brown paper bag or if you really want to keep with your color coordination, use tissue paper or use disposable diapers which would also be very useful. Once you fill your basket with the paper, make sure you create a flat top so everything with sit level. If your outfits are in a box, set them in the back securely to give your basket some height presentation, use can use tape and tape them together for added support, next, use your next tallest baby gift or baby gifts such as baby rattles, baby pacifies, baby bottles or teething rings and set them in front of the boxed outfits. You can tape each of these together, or even use hot glue or glue dots to hold them in place. So now you should be getting the idea on layering your gifts from the tallest down to the shortest to give the baby basket some height which will make your baby gift look large. Once everything is in place and secured, sprinkle some of the leftover baby shower favors or even some pink or blue candies for the mom. You can even go the local bakery and pick up some cookies which are in the shapes a variety of baby designs.

You are almost finished with your baby gift basket; all we need to do is to add some finishing touches. Add some colored shred around all of your baby gifts and tuck it down at the bottom of each of the gifts. Usually you use the same color as what the gender of the baby is. If the basket is built around a boy use can use baby blue, or pink for a girl, but if no one is sure what the gender of the baby is, use can always use yellow, lavender, or sometimes you can find a mix of colors, like pink and blue. All you need is some clear cello to wrap you baby basket. If you choose to wrap the baby gift basket with cello, layout a sheet of cello from the roll, but don't cut it as of yet. Lay your basket in the center of the cello and bring the end up past the basket approximately 18" to 2'. This will allow you to spread the cello out at the top like a fan. Cut the other end at the same height as the other side and bring both ends together over the basket. Grab the cello closest to the top of the basket as possible and tie off with a ribbon or piece of string. Starting at the bottom of the cello, wrap the open edges around to the back of the baby gift basket and tape, do this for both sides. Once all of the edges have been taped, place a bow where you tied the cello together then fan the top out.

Baby Care Tips For Your Newborn Baby

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:21 AM

By Brooke Schuman

Before I was a mom I had never changed a diaper or had even held
a newborn baby in my life. I never really was the babysitting
type. I had no clue what I was doing, I needed some major help.
So now that I am a mom I would like to share some things that I
have learned that I didn't know but wished someone would have
told me. Of course the nurses in the hospital showed me what to
do, but I always wished I could have been more prepared. So here
are some baby care tips, to care for your newborn baby.

-A bath two to three times a week is all the baby needs until
he/she can crawl around and get dirty. Of course you will want
to give sponge baths after meals and after diaper changes to
keep the baby clean. Giving baby baths to often can result in
dry irritated skin.

-Don't ever leave baby alone in the bath for even a second, be
in arms reach of baby at all times. Make sure you have
everything you need with you when you are giving baby a bath so
you don't need to leave for any reason, the phone, a towel,
shampoo are just a few items that you definitely will need when
giving baby a bath.

-The best way to avoid diaper rash and irritation is to change
the diaper before or after every feeding and as soon as possible
after each bowel movement. Sitting in a dirty diaper for even a
little while causes irritation. Use a diaper rash ointment
after every diaper change to avoid diaper rash.

-Diapers need to fit snugly as to avoid leaks but not so tight
that the diapers can cause skin irritation around the thighs and
stomach areas.

-On boys aim the penis downward as the diaper is being put on.
This minimizes leaks and wet pajamas and undershirts.

-Some babies love to be swaddled others hate it. If your baby
hates to be swaddled let his/her arms out and you can still
comfort your little one but he/she can feel less restricted.

-When picking baby up lift gently, slowly and close to your body
this makes baby feel more secure. Always make sure your arm or
hand is supporting baby's neck.

-Don't use cotton swabs to clean out babies ears. Use wash
clothes to clean in and around babies ear.

-Shampooing your babies hair only needs to be done two or three
times a week. Unless there is a problem with cradle cap that
requires you to shampoo more. Always put cotton or cover your
babies ears with your hands as to minimize the amount of water
that gets in his/her little ears. This can cause ear infections.

Get some sleep and rest when your child is resting.

Types of Baby Showers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:18 AM

By Randy Wilson

There are different types of baby showers to cover just about any ocassion. Baby Showers have been traditionally for Ladies only. But in this day and age, you can plan a baby shower for just about any kind of group.

Baby Shower for Mom:

The most common of the types of baby showers is a baby shower for mom. When you have only women at the shower, you have the opportunity to really "girl it up", so to speak, at your baby shower for mom. You can do really girlie things and not have to worry about the men being bored or embarrassed.

Baby Shower for Daddy:

Baby shower for daddy is another of the types of baby showers. No one would realistically expect a new daddy-to-be to sit around with his closest buddies. Opening baby shower gifts and playing party games while oohing and aahing over the imminent birth of his child. But that doesn't mean that Dad can't have a baby shower-type celebration.

Baby Shower for the Family:

Another of the types of baby showers is one for the entire family. Though baby showers have traditionally been held for mommies-to-be only, times are changing and many people are having baby showers to celebrate the new baby's whole family-to-be.

Baby Shower for Twins:

For the parents expecting twins, or possibly more, you can have a twins or multiples baby shower. Multiple or a twins baby shower can be given when the mother-to-be is expecting twins or more. Having twins is twice as nice. But it's also twice as much work and twice as expensive. Fortunately for Moms expecting twins or multiples, there is usually someone willing to throw a baby shower to help ease the strain on the wallet.

Baby for Adoption:

Some parents choose to adopt, and they need to know you care about them too. Adopted babies are just as much a part of the family as any other newborn. These types of baby showers would be very thoughtful and greatly appreciated by the mom.

Baby Shower for Second Child:

Types of baby showers can also be for a second, third or more. Sometimes this type of shower would also be called a caboose baby shower.

Long Distance Baby Shower:

When mother or parents cannot be at the shower, you can hold a long distance baby shower. Also called an absentee shower, virtual baby shower or online baby shower.

Baby Shower for Couples:

A baby shower for couples is another type of baby shower you could have. This shower is for both the mom and the dad-to-be. If having a baby couples baby shower seems odd to you, consider this: mom-to-be did not get pregnant on her own. Nor will she likely be raising the baby on her own. So why should she get to celebrate on her own?

Baby Shower for Grandma:

Throwing a baby shower for grandmother would be a great way to commemorate the excitement of becoming a grandparent for the first time. There's nothing like spoiling the little cuties for a day and then sending them home to their parents!

Surprise Baby Shower:

Will the mother-to-be know of the party, or will you be having a surprise baby shower? Remember, mom could go into labor early and you would have to cancel or re-schedule the shower. Also, you would have to figure out a way to spring it on her without her finding out. However, if you want to surprise her and the obstacles don't bother you, go for it.

Baby Shower for Teacher:

Something a little different would be a baby shower for teacher. Studies show that there is a lot of interest in this type of baby shower. You would give the teacher a shower similiar to a baby shower for mom.

Natural Cures for Diaper Rash

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:16 AM

By peterhutch

To run baby a warm bath and put backing soda in the water. Let the baking soda dissolve and let baby soak it the water for about 15 minutes. When you get baby out of the bath let him go without a diaper for about 10-15 minutes to allow the area to dry. Then apply Flanders Ointment and put babies diaper on. I usually do this at night right before my son went to bed and when he wakes up the diaper rash is gone.

Diaper rash is what happens when a baby's sensitive skin is kept in contact with urine-or fecal-soaked diapers for any length of time. The moisture breaks down the skin's natural protective oils, and a red, irritated, bumpy rash appears. The makeup of the diaper is irrelevant: Doctors say diaper rash can happen whether your baby wears cloth or disposable diapers.

The best thing is to prevent your little one from getting this in the first place, but even at our best attempts she will probably at least have one or two in her first year of life. Your goal as a mom will probably be to minimize the chances the best you can. Again, since babies have different skin types, you should probably find a diaper that is friendly to her skin as well as leaks. After this step, you will want to keep her as dry as possible and this does not mean checking to see if she is โwetโ every 10 minutes. This means if you use baby wipes at every change, to pat her dry with a cotton towel or let her air dry before closing the diaper.

Giving your baby a warm water bath is the first step in easing their discomfort. Adding some oatmeal to the water is a great tip. Just pour a cupful into the running water and let your baby bathe as usual.Next dry the bottom very carefully; a harsh towel will just cause more pain and irritation. A blow-dryer on the lowest/cool setting works wonders. Keep the dryer moving constantly until the area is completely dry.

Diapers are used to cover the genitals and they invariably protect the area where the infection has a breeding ground therefore the diapers should be changed intermittently as often possible depending on the childโs toilet training and routine. Wet diapers are a strict no-no and once the area gets wet because of the childโs routine, then the area should be air-dried and if possible pat-dried. Care should be taken that the sweat pool does not form and accumulates under the diaper. If some medicine taken is found to show this allergic reaction steps should be taken to stop the medicine completely. Coconut oil is the best home ready source that could be used on the babyโs skin around the buttocks and it would destroy the budding rash efficiently.

Use a decoction of white oak bark, which has anti-fungal properties. You take 4 tablespoons of white oak bark (the actual bark, which you buy from a herbalist). Simmer it for 20 minutes in one quart of water, then strain. Return the liquid to the pot and simmer it until it has reduced its volume by about half. Store it in the fridge for 2-3 days, and apply to the baby's bottom (or your nipples, if you get thrush) frequently.

Identifying Heartburn in Babies

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:15 AM

By Jason Rickard

Although aptly called heartburn, this ailment really is not really a heart problem. It is often called such because individuals who suffer from heartburn often complain of a burning sensation in their breast area. Heartburn is also referred to esophageal disorder. Seeing an adult suffering from heartburn is bad enough but more so if it were your little tykes who suffer from such ailment.

In infants, heartburn is often associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD. This is a common ailment in babies below two years old. In babies, symptoms of heartburn include cough, restlessness during sleep and irritability. The cause of heartburn at this early age may be attributed to stomach discomfort. An infants stomach may have acidic contents that may move towards to the esophagus. A weak esophageal sphincter, which is the muscle that connects the stomach, may be weak and cause such reflux.

A reflux simply means that intestinal fluids flow the wrong way. In infants, acid from their stomach is reverted back to his food pipe. When this happens, the symptoms of heartburn would soon follow.

You would often notice that your child would often spit out food or even vomit. They often cry out after a meal and produce a burping sound. If this happens, hold your baby upright when feeding him, this will keep the milk down his digestive system. Using a baby sling can also be of help.

Since heartburn is a disease related to food intake, it is important to keep watch of youre the food your child takes. Babies mostly rely on milk as food; you can give them milk in smaller amounts but on a regular basis. If you already started feeding your babies rice cereal, make it less diluted and thicken the formula.

Heartburn is more evident in premature babies. As in most cases, mothers play a vital role in the health of their babies. When either of the parents smoke, then your child will suffer the results of passive smoking. As always, breastfeeding is a great advantage for your baby health and can prevent heartburn. Immediately head to your pediatrician at the first symptom of heartburn. Treatment can be administered, though in time, children would eventually outgrow heartburn.

Best Adult Diapers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:15 AM

By Steve Valentino

Adult diapers are available in an array of materials, sizes, brands, etc. They are available in almost all stores where diapers are sold and the most prominent diaper companies in the world manufacture them. Although all styles and types of adult diapers are useful to different users in different ways, there are few of them that can definitely be classified as the best for the quality and utility.

Despite all the innovations in adult diapers, cloth diapers till have their share in the regular market because they are reusable. They can be washed with water and detergent. There are often sold with complimentary sachets of powerful, fragrant detergent and this makes them very comfortable for many users. They are very cost effective and comfortable, especially when the user spends much of the time indoors. However, owing to the entry of the disposable age, many adults are using disposable diapers that do not require washing and are thrown away after each use. They are more expensive in the long run, but because they are easy to use and comfortable, many individuals don't mind spending the money. The best disposable diapers have a high absorbency. This attracts adult diaper wearers, as they don't want to have to change frequently when in public. Ingredients in the materials that prevent sores and diaper rash also usually accompany these diapers.

Thus, we see that the above-described diapers are the best in the adult diaper market and are most sought after by many individuals depending on their specific needs and choices.

Adult Diapers provides detailed information on Adult Diapers, Adult Cloth Diapers, Adult Disposable Diapers, Adult Diaper Rash and more. Adult Diapers is affiliated with Alzheimers Care.

Hilarious Baby Shower Fun

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:21 AM

By Tim Bock

Baby showers are always a fun occasion. People are willing to play crazy
games and everyone ends up having hilarious baby shower fun. The
following game ideas are all hilarious baby shower fun online games that can
easily be found through an internet search.

One way to get people laughing and having a good time is to introduce
anything that may be considered odd. When people are confronted with
something questionable or weird it makes others laugh. Watching people make
faces and get grossed out is always a lot of fun. There are a wide range of
odd baby shower games that are sure to bring on the fun. Smell the Diaper
is a fun one where candy is melted or crushed and placed inside disposable
diapers. Guests then have to smell each diaper and guess what type of candy
it is. This games gets plenty of laughs for its grossness factor,
especially when it comes to chocolate candy.

Another great way to bring on the hilarious baby shower fun is to get people
acting goofy. Anything that will get grown adults to dress up or act like
children is going to make everyone laugh. One such game is Pin the Pacifier
on the Baby. This is just like the old party game Pin the Tail on the
Donkey. Blindfolded people who have been spun around several times are
going to get a lot of laughs as they stumble around like a child.

Hilarious baby shower fun is one way to make a baby shower memorable.
People are not soon to forget how hard they laughed and the mother-to-be is
guaranteed to have a good time. Keeping the mood light and fun is a great
way to prevent awkward moments between unfamiliar guests and to ensure
everyone has a great time.

Childbirth and the Athletic Woman

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:15 AM

By Wintergreen .

Athletic women come in all sizes and enjoy different sports or fitness programs. Athletic women enjoy being toned and fit. Through personal fitness, many women have developed determination, commitment to their task, and an ability to hit the wall and go beyond. Often they consider themselves tough and rigorous. Women who enjoy fitness as a way of Life rather than being 'athletic' also admire their shape, sense of being in 'tone', flexibility and strength. So why would an athletic woman (including women who just stay fit) need to know anything about childbirth? Isn't the goal of preparing for childbirth about 'getting in shape?'

One famous woman athlete made a public comment that if she had gone through labour before her competitive event she would have done better in the competitions. Obviously, childbirth gave her insights that would have improved her performance. Many athletic women may not know that you are more likely to have a caesarean than most women. We've all heard stories that dancers and horsewomen are more likely to have a caesarean; however, it's true for many athletic women. Yet, somehow this seems paradoxical. How can being in shape lead to more medically assisted births?

Childbirth at it's simplest is an exercise in plumbing.

An object (baby) has to come out of a container (woman). In order to do that the object must come through a tube (pelvis), open a diaphragm (cervix) and aperture (vagina). The container has a Mind and if the process of the object coming through is perceived of as painful, then the Mind can respond to those sensations by tensing up the body. Tension in the body can interfere with the need of the container to relax and open in order for the object to come out. Being 'toned' is a form of tension. This means that there is entirely different preparation for giving birth than staying in shape or being in training. One husband of an athletic woman said after her caesarean: 'I thought childbirth was about muscles pushing a baby out. Now I understand it's about creating space so the baby can move through her body.'

Each sport or fitness program uses different muscles, yet it is not just the muscles that can produce tension. Connective tissue or fascia can hold tension as well. In our plumbing analogy, the tube (pelvis) is surrounded by connective tissue which is part of our body's soft tissue. Soft tissue is anything other than bone. For example, tension in the connections between the bones in the pelvic girdle (tube) can prevent the bones from being mobile. Our baby's bones in their head are designed to mold and over lap; however, we can create more space inside this tube when we know how to keep our pelvis mobile. In childbirth, the sacrum is the bone that needs the most mobility. It's also the bone that is used to stabilize our bodies as we weight bear and tends to being immobile. We can also reduce 'back labour' by learning how to create sacral mobility. One ice skater said after 3 caesareans: 'Once I learned to mobilize my sacrum in labour, I had no trouble giving birth to my fourth child naturally. No one told me I had to do that. No one told me I had to do the Internal Work (birth canal or aperture) either.

The soft tissue in our birth canal may also be quite tight. Many women are told to do 'pelvic floor' exercises. These certainly are good to strengthen our insides; however, they are not appropriate birth preparation exercises. Instead pregnant women need to learn how to relax inside the pelvis and the muscles of the birth canal.

For many athletic, relaxing is not in alignment with their personal self perception.

One competitive cyclist said: 'I considered myself very, very tough and I was. I had developed skills and management skills for my chosen event; however, without a whole new set of skills for the event of giving birth I didn't have a clue and ended up with a caesarean and sense of personal failure. When I discovered The Pink Kit Method for birthing better I learned the necessary birthing skills and my husband learned how to coach me.'

The Pelvic Clock exercise from The Pink Kit is one of the many you can teach yourself at home to prepare for childbirth. When used in labour, the Pelvic Clock technique helps you to focus on relaxing where your cervix attaches inside the pelvis. This assists in dilating the cervix. You can use the same concept to mentally relax around the cervix directly which also assists cervical dilation. NOTE: If you are pregnant now, you can do the Pelvic Clock exercise below, but only do the cervical relaxation the last two weeks of your pregnancy as specific preparation for birth and then feel free to do it throughout labour.

1) Do this exercise in a number of positions: standing, sitting, lying down or partially kneeling. As you know, different postures engage different muscles and aspects of the connective tissue.
2)
3) Draw a line around your body, starting midway down your pubic bone, around to the top of where your legs meet your hips and then to your sacrum. This will be about 1 ฝ inches above where the little bumps are, at the beginning of your bottom crack. You have drawn a circle around your pelvis. Inside this circle, inside the pelvis is approximately where the top of your vagina (the soft tissue around the cervix) meets the inside of your pelvis. In labour the contractions draw this tissue into the pelvis, opening the cervix which is in the middle of the tissue. Where the tissue meets the pelvis is like the rim of a clock face and the cervix is like the area where the hands of the clock join. Uterine contractions open the cervix so that there is no longer a clock face, rather a large opening for your baby to come down and into your birth canal. The tugging open of the cervix is what is 'painful' in labour.

4) Give your clock face names. Name the pubic bone 12:00, one hip 3:00, the sacrum 6:00 and the other hip 9:00. Now go around the clock and soften (inside) at each o'clock (you can always include 1:30 etc). It's helpful to say to yourself while you lightly touch that place: 'Soften inside my pubic bone.' Pause before you go on to the next place in order to let your mind find that place in your body and for your body to respond. This is yoking your mind to your body.

5) After you have gone around the outside of the Pelvic Clock and if you are two weeks away from your due date, then you can do the same softening around the cervix which is in closed and in the center. The cervix is made up of 50% muscle cells and the rest connective tissue, so it does respond to intentional relaxation.

6) Doing both of these things in labour between contractions and even during contractions has been one of the great focus tools that women who have prepared with The Pink Kit have used. It's an ideal tool for husbands/partners to know. They can feel it in their own bodies and can remind us to 'relax at 6:00' if we have back labour, for example.

Notice this difference, just tense up inside, hold the tension while you go around the clock again. You can feel the difference.

Over the past 30 years, The Pink Kit Method for birthing better has helped many women athletes to have a positive birth. The information originated in the United States in the 1970s and came to New Zealand with the founder of the Trust, Common Knowledge, in 1995. Since then the multi-media kit The Pink Kit: Essential Preparations for your birthing body through the website.

A number of New Zealand athletic women have used The Pink Kit and found it incredibly helpful. They have been body builders, aerobic competitors, rowers, horsewomen, dancers etc. Each has a different experience and different story of their birth. Some found that their sport had prepared them for the challenge of labour while others were surprised at how challenged they were by labour.

Often athletic women have athletic partners.

When both expectant parents have prepared for birth using The Pink Kit, having a skilled partner as birth coach has been wonderful for the woman. Men do have the same bodies and can feel inner tension in the same manner than women can. When these women found labour challenging, they relied on their partners to help them work through each contractions with the common knowledge skills they had taught themselves. One woman athlete said: 'when labour got intense, my husband reminded me that I had put in the effort to my sport and that I could do this. He inspired me to keep going instead of using pain relief and he was there every contraction, doing the work with me.'

With the new skills, you can find in The Pink Kit, athletic women and their partners can meet the challenge, achieving a positive birth experience in all situations. Learning new skills become fascinating rather than conflictive. In fact, you'll get back into shape sooner after birth when you have learned to relax to give birth. There will be less trauma for you and your baby.

A Guy's Survival Guide to Baby Showers

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:15 AM

By Sarah Garr

Okay, so you're the lone guy in the office and the estrogen laden majority has demanded that you attend the latest in a seemingly unending barrage of Colleague's Baby Showers. Alright now, take a few deep breaths and dab the perspiration from your brow. We all know the reason for getting invited to a shower; you are expected to bring gifts. Surviving a baby shower and making the women of your office become drop-jawed over your clever and innovative finesse will be a breeze if you just heed one of the three following suggestions.

To stand out at the party, you should bring a baby gift that is so cutting edge, no one has heard of it yet. Martha Stewart may have heard of it, but the chicks in the cubicles around you haven't, and their gift won't stand a chance compared to yours. This secret is a Baby Clothes Bouquet. At first glance, it looks like you brought a huge bouquet of flowers, but the flower buds are actually strategically wrapped baby clothes nestled alongside other baby essentials. Perfect!

When it comes time to unwrap the presents, prepare yourself for all the oohs and ahs over the frilly dresses with ruffley underpants. These are great gifts for baby showers, but in reality, they will hang in the closet collecting dust. In a year or so, these outfits will be taken out of the "vault", hawked on EBay or are marched down to the local consignment store. SO, what I'm saying to you is Go Practical! A Diaper Cake is the ultimate answer. You'll still get the amazed stares from your coworkers when you breeze in with a tulle wrapped baby diaper cake and after the shower is said and done, the new mom can rip it apart and make proper use of the diapers and trimmings. Piece "a" cake!

Finally, to make a long-lasting impression, you might need to go a little "Magnum, P.I." for this next gift idea, but it will be well worth the extra effort. Investigate what the new parents are going to name the little tyke. Then, order a personalized baby gift. New moms will gush over the thought you put into the "name thing". My personal favorite is a name plate that is made from metal and wood. I know it sounds rustic, but in the "girl world" it is known as shabby chic. So, go for a personalized baby gift such as a name plate (no, no not a vanity license plate) or get a monogrammed baby blanket and bib. So easy!

These three baby gift ideas will surely make you a genuine hit of the party without having to stroll the aisles of your local baby supply super store with that dazed and confused look on your face. Go on now; you can do it!

Besides, do you really want to be caught in a baby supply super store?

When Sarah Garr is not chasing after her energetic toddler she is busy coddling her new baby, Sweet Tater Baby Gifts. Sweet Tater Baby Gifts offers a full line of unique and personalized baby gifts and baby gift ideas. Come visit http://www.SweetTaterBabyGifts.com today!

Nail Fungus - No Need To Keep Living With The Infection

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:15 AM

By Richard Clement

Nail disorders are rarely disabling or even painful. But they are a nuisance. One of the most common problems is toenail fungus (medical name onychomysosis)-about 15% of people have it, including nearly half of those over 70.
This infection has received a great deal of press and advertisement time, as there are finally therapies that actually successfully eradicate these infections.
A fast overview of the disease can really help us to get rid of it.
The body normally hosts a variety of microorganisms, including bacteria and fungi. Some of these are useful to the body. Others may multiply rapidly and form infections. Fungi can live on the dead tissues of the hair, nails, and outer skin layers. An infection of nail fungus (called-onychomycosis) occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. Onychomycosis usually begins as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. This commonly affects toe nails rather than finger nails. The infection actually eats your skin and nail, so it can continue growing and may spread to other nails. Your nails may look "different," be so thick they're hard to trim, and may cause you discomfort, pain or tenderness that disrupts daily activities. The prevalence of onychomycosis is about 15% in the adult population.
Infections of nail fungus account for about half of all nail disorders. These infections usually develop on nails continually exposed to warm, moist environments, such as sweaty shoes or shower floors. nail infections may be difficult to treat and may recur often.
What are the symptoms of nail infection ?
Anyone can get a fungal nail infection. They are especially common in people with diabetes or circulation problems. Children hardly ever get fungal nail infections.
Primarily you may see, smell, or feel a nail fungus infection once it takes hold.
ท Nails may look brownish, yellowish, or have little white patches. Some may even be brown or black.
ท Nails may get flaky, brittle, and chipped.
ท Bits of "gunk" or debris may collect under your nails.
Your nails may smell bad.
ท Nails may get so thick that wearing shoes causes pain.
ท Discomfort from the infection may make it hard to walk, work, or do other activities.
These symptoms may not get better. In fact, if nail fungus infections are not treated, they may get worse.
First, your healthcare provider will look closely at your nails. If your healthcare provider thinks you have nail fungus, he may perform a test. Your healthcare provider may clip off a small piece of your nail so that it can be examined. It may be examined in the office or sent out to a lab. This is the only way to know if you really have nail fungus. The sooner you visit your doctor and get diagnosed , the sooner, you can stop the infection from getting worse and begin to see healthier nails grow again.Fungal nail infections may be difficult to treat and may become a reservoir for fungal organisms, causing their recurrence in the skin or nails.
What are the causes of the nail infection and how did you get it ?
Nail fungus is made up of tiny organisms that can infect fingernails and toenails. These organisms are called dermatophytes. Nail fungus is very common. The nail fungus moves in under the nail. The nail provides a safe place for the fungus and protects it while it grows.Anything that damages a nail can make it easier for the fungus to move in, such as:

ท An injury (like banging a fingernail with a hammer)
ท Tight shoes that pinch the toes
Other risk factors that can increase your risk of developing nail fungus are:
ท Wearing socks and shoes that hinder ventilation and don't absorb perspiration
ท Perspiring heavily
ท Walking barefoot in damp public places ,such as swimming pools, gyms and shower rooms
ท Smoking
ท People whose hands are often wet (for example, dishwashers in restaurants and professional house cleaners) are more likely to get fungal fingernail infections.

That's why it's so hard to reach and stop nail fungus. Most often, nail fungus appears in the toenails. This is because socks and shoes keep the toenails dark, warm, and moist. This is a perfect place for the fungus to grow. The organisms that make up nail fungus can sometimes spread from one person to another because these organisms can live where the air is often moist and people's feet are bare. This can happen in places like shower stalls, bathrooms, or locker rooms.Nail fungus may also spread from one of your nails to other nails.People with diabetes are nearly three times more likely to get nail fungus infection as people without diabetes. Because people with diabetes have circulation problems, left untreated, the infection can often lead to more severe health problems on the foot.
How to take care on the infection ?
Here are some things you can do to take care of your nails if you have a fungal infection:
ท Keep your nails cut short and file down any thick areas.
ท Don't use the same nail trimmer or file on healthy nails and infected nails. If you have your nails professionally manicured, you should bring your own nail files and trimmers from home.
ท Wear waterproof gloves for wet work (like washing dishes or floors). To protect your fingers, wear 100 percent cotton gloves for dry work.
ท Wear 100 percent cotton socks. Change your socks when they are damp from sweat or if your feet get wet. Put on clean, dry socks every day.
ท Wear shoes with good support and a wide toe area. Don't wear pointed shoes that press your toes together.
ท Avoid walking barefoot in public areas, such as locker rooms.

These are just some simple steps to do for your infection. The first step to beating nail fungus is getting a diagnosis. Your doctor will likely examine your nails first. Knowing the cause of your infection helps determine the best course of treatment. When your doctor diagnose your infection ,he will (most often) prescribe you some oral antifungal medication. It's quite impossible to beat fungus without proper medications.
These days there is one very effective drug to treat nail fungus. Lamisil (Terbinafine hydrochloride) is prescribed for the treatment of onychomycosis of the toenail or fingernail due to dermatophytes .Terbinafine is in a class of medications called antifungals. It works by stopping the growth of fungi. The fungus under your nails is attracted to keratin, one of the substances in your nails and skin. The fungus feeds on keratin deep under the nail in the nail bed. Terbinafine is also attracted to keratin. It can be there to attack the infection. Surface treatments may not be able to reach it in sufficient amounts, so terbinafine hydrochloride is given orally in tablet form, which is absorbed through the bloodstream to reach the infection. Lamisil Tablets are the #1 prescribed treatment for nail fungus infection worldwide. And because nail fungus infection can be so tough to treat, the medicine from Lamisil Tablets will stay in the nail bed months after your prescription is done and continue fighting the infection so you can grow clearer, healthier nails.Terbinafine comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken for 6 weeks for fingernail fungus and once a day for 12 weeks for toenail fungus ,but you won't see the end result of treatment until the nail grows back completely. It may take four to 12 months to eliminate an infection.

First, you have to start with the necessary ingredients and place the cake in concert within a short period. For some moms-to-be, it is an utmost precious gift, so you need to make it ahead of time to satisfy them.

You obtain diaper cake instructions from many sources, but the most important thing is how well you follow those instructions. For instance, follow these below discussed easy diaper cake instructions to make a wonderful and attractive diaper cake:

First, you need around 50 disposable diapers with a 16-inch cardboard platter. You also need to have thin rubber bans and six feet of ฝ-inch ribbon with ten feet of one-inch broad ribbon. It is also necessary to buy a big baby bottle, small candles, double sided tape and few baby things such as booties, nail clippers, rattles, pacifiers, a comb and brush.

Make the diapers into rigid rolls and lock them with rubber bands. Now mold the diapers into three different layers. Start by filling the candles in baby bottles and keep it in the middle of 6-7 diapers. Tie all this with a one-inch ribbon.

Create the second layer with the help of 15 diapers. Knot this layer with the small ribbon and for the third layer, you need to have around 27 diapers. First, outline the center and then tie it collectively. Keep some more diapers around the circle and knot them.

In addition, place things related to baby around the exterior of diaper cakes by cutting them under the ribbon. Complete the diaper cake by knotting the one-inch ribbon around every layer. A diaper cake is a clever way to make a baby shower party a special event.

Baby Sleep Patterns - 5 Common Mistakes

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:30 AM

By Chris Stone

Getting a good night's sleep can be challenging when a new baby enters the picture. It's important that infants get the sleep that they need and it's even more important for mom and dad to get their sleep. After all, a well-rested parent will be much more effective than one who is sleep-deprived.

It may surprise you that not all 'research' on baby sleep patterns can be trusted. Many studies, in fact, allow cultural factors to overrule biological laws of nature.

Your baby, however, will be certain to let you know what works and what doesn't. Trust your child's own mechanisms for informing you.

Let's review some of the most common mistakes parents make:

1) Ignoring Your Child's Cries

One should never ignore a baby's cries. The child could be hurt or in danger. In addition, babies are emotional creatures. They will not understand why their cries are going unanswered.

Babies are unable to say, "I'm tired," or "I'm hungry." Just imagine how easy things would be if they could! Instead we are left to take our best guess at the reason. You can be sure that baby is crying because they cannot solve the problem on their own and they need help.

2) Let Babies "Cry It Out"

Many experts seem to think that babies are able to soothe themselves to sleep. While this may be true to some extent, it is very unhealthy for the child. It teaches them that their parents cannot be trusted to solve their problems and could cause self-esteem issues later in life if they being to feel abandoned.

Your child must learn that you will respond to their needs quickly and efficiently. If you think that your child is just being fussy, try to evaluate the situation and make your response quick and to the point. You should always respond to their needs, however.

3) "How to Get Baby to Sleep Through the Night??"

Believe it or not, babies are simply not designed to sleep through the night. Infants need to feed several times a night. They simply will not acclimate to adult sleeping patterns. If they do, it is unhealthy and could be a sign of a larger problem.

Babies should have several short periods of sleep throughout the night. As you become familiar with your child's pattern, you can adapt. If you are married, perhaps you can take turns, provided that mom isn't breast-feeding. Even so, a well-placed bottle every now and then could help the child adapt to change.

4) Giving Baby Medicine to Help with Sleep

I am often surprised at how many parents give their baby Phenobarbital to aid with sleep, or worse, Valium. These drugs alter the brain's chemistry and will become addictive very quickly. The same holds true for alcohol. Never rub alcohol on a baby's gums as it could have the opposite effect...restlessness and agitation.

More importantly, these types of remedies are simply inappropriate for infants.

5) Adjust Feeding Time to "Train" Babies to Sleep

Your baby will tell you when it's time to eat. You should never try to adjust this schedule. The American Academy of Pediatrics is quite concerned about the rise in "parent-directed feeding schemes as alleged methods of training infants and children to sleep through the night".

Again, baby will tell you when it's time to eat. They might not even need to eat but rather they could need comforting, or a feeling of safety. As stated in numbers one and two, always attend to your child's needs quickly.

To summarize, baby sleep patterns are often difficult to figure out in the beginning and will take their toll initially. It is challenging, but a happy, healthy baby is worth the price you may pay over the first several months of life.

Timing is Everything Choosing the Right Time to Have Breast Augmentation

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:28 AM

By Shirley Rizzo

The decision to have breast implants placed into your body should not be taken lightly. Deciding when to have the breast surgery should be a part of your overall thought process on the subject. Are there times that are better than others in a womanโs life? Indeed, there are certainly better times than others for breast augmentation. Honoluluโs best plastic surgeon will be able to discuss all of the pros and cons with you regarding this important issue.

Finish Growing
Young girls should not get breast implants, and neither should older teenagers. You need to give your body time to grow to its adult size before you decide that you donโt like the size of your breasts and want larger ones. Some girls have breasts that grow slowly, making them late bloomers. Other girls appear to be finished developing by age 18 and then their breasts go through another growth spurt. Be patient with yourself and give your body the time to grow, develop, and take shape before you decide to alter it. The one exception to this rule is girls who have a deformed breast, or girls who have suffered damage to their breasts as the result of an accident.

You also need to be mature enough to make a life altering decision, such as whether or not to get breast implants. Plastic surgery carries as many potential risks and complications as every other type of surgery and should never be taken lightly.

Pregnancy
Breast implants are for women who have finished having children, as opposed to those who have yet to have them. If your childbearing years are just upon you, or if you plan to have more children, hold off on thoughts of breast augmentation until pregnancies are well behind you.

Getting pregnant and giving birth causes the breasts to change in size and shape as the mammary glands enlarge. Being pregnant will also cause your skin to swell and stretch. If you have breast implants before you have your children, you may need to alter them again afterwards, due to the fact that they may not return to the shape they were before the pregnancy.

Lifestyle
What type of lifestyle do you live? If you are involved in a number of activities, you will need to plan your operation around these activities. You must also calculate in the length of time it will take you to recover. If you are a student, you will need to book your breast surgery during one of your breaks, such as your winter break or over the summer. If you work, then you will need to take time off in order to have the surgery, as well as to recuperate sufficiently.

You will only need to take a few days off to have the surgery and begin to heal; however, you will be sore for a number of weeks and therefore will have to adjust your schedule accordingly. Individuals who work out at the gym on a regular basis will have to forego their rigorous workouts until they are completely healed and instead opt for taking walks and light activities.

If you enjoy seasonal activities, then schedule your surgery for your off season. For example, swimmers or those who enjoy boating and other summer activities would be well advised to plan their breast surgery for the autumn or winter months.

Good Health
It is imperative that you are in good health when you decide to undergo a breast implant surgery. Schedule an appointment with your medical doctor for a complete physical before you have a consultation with Honoluluโs best plastic surgeon. Being in top notch health is less likely to bring about complications. This will also ensure that your recovery period goes more smoothly.

A breast augmentation surgery by a Honolulu plastic surgeon can significantly increase your confidence. When your breast implants are placed during an optimal time in your life, you ensure greater, positive, long-term results.
Learn more about the advanced breast augmentation methodologies utilized by Honolulu's best plastic surgeon, Dr. Rizzo, who has decades of trail-blazing expertise in Hawaii plastic surgery.

WORLDS LARGEST ONLINE WHOLESALE OUTLET

To make the bead and pipe cleaner ornaments, you need common pipe cleaners in desired colors and acrylic beads. Two types of beads are particularly effective when strung on pipe cleaners. One type are called sunburst beads, but are also known as paddlewheel beads, snowflake beads, or starburst beads. These beads have six faceted paddles spaced equally around a center that contains the hole for stringing. When several of these sunburst beads are strung consecutively, they fit against each other in an interlocking pattern.

The other type of bead that is also effective for this Christmas craft is called the tri bead or propeller bead. It has three rounded bumps arranged around the stringing hole. Like the sunburst beads, the tri beads interlock when strung consecutively. For the most sparkly and attractive Christmas ornaments, get tri beads and/or sunburst beads in translucent colors of red, green, and clear. The tri beads can also be found in metallic gold and silver which can be used in this Christmas craft as well.

Pipe cleaners can be found in silver and gold tinsel as well as chenille of all colors. For the Christmas craft, the best colors to use are the metallics and Christmas colors. The beads cover the pipe cleaners, but the ends will need to be twisted together and made into hangers, so they show.

Anyone, even small children, can string these beads on pipe cleaners. Bend up the end of the pipe cleaner so the beads don't fall off. The pipe cleaner works like a needle, making a needle unnecessary. For best results, show the children how to alternate colors when stringing, or start a pattern of three colors. When the beads are strung on the pipe cleaners, they can be bent into different Christmas shapes. For instance, string red and clear beads alternately, then bend down one end of the pipe cleaner for a candy cane shape. Or alternate red and green beads and form a circle for a wreath. Use red pipe cleaner to form a small bow to decorate the wreath. Form a hanger for the Christmas craft or simply slip the circle over a branch of the tree.

If you experiment with clear beads and silver pipe cleaners, you can make some beautiful snowflake or star ornaments. Snowflake designs can be twisted of silver pipe cleaner only, without the beads for a simple but pretty decoration.

A Daddy Baby Shower - New Twist on the old Baby Shower

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:28 AM

By Randy Wilson

Try something new, a Daddy Baby Shower. Even though no one would realistically expect a new daddy-to-be to sit around with his closest buddies, opening baby shower gifts and playing party games while oohing and aahing over the imminent birth of his child. That doesnt mean that Dad cant have a baby shower-type celebration. Daddy deserves to celebrate the birth of his child, too!

Of course, the term baby shower does invoke visions of baby themed parties. Like the one described above when planning a baby shower. So perhaps baby shower is not an appropriate name for this get-together. Why limit yourself with a label, anyway? Call it a celebrating-Jims-impending-fatherhood party, if you want, instead of baby showers for dad.

Here are a few suggestions to make this type of party one for daddy-to-be to remember:

Play Games:

Well, not baby shower games. But you can play poker, horseshoes or even a game of shirts-n-skins football in the back yard.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry:

Have tons of fattening and not-good-for-you foods. Make spareribs, cheese steaks, wings, and anything else you can eat with your hands and make a mess with. The wives wont be there to complain and you can grunt all you want. Have some beers (or soda if you prefer) and barbecue.

Last Night Out:

Take the dad-to-be out for a night on the town to rival his bachelor party. Do some bar hopping, play some pool, shoot some darts, and dont go home until you are kicked out of at least three places. Keep Dad safe, though, and designate someone to stay sober and make sure everyone gets home in one piece. You might also want to check with mom-to-be to make sure she is okay with this plan. She is, after all, pregnant and might not be all that amenable to the last-night-out-before-fatherhood party.

Gifts for Dad-To-Be:

Let the official baby shower take care of the baby necessities. Give Dad gifts for himself, or gifts that he would have chosen for the baby. Buy him a diaper tool kit, complete with goggles, rubber gloves, tongs, clothespin, and of course, diapering essentials, or a Daddy Gear Diaper Bag.

Gag gifts are fun, too. Or you could buy clothing for the new baby with Dads favorite sports teams logo or matching Dad and Baby t-shirts. Think about necessities like batteries, too. Most likely they wont be on Moms registry, but all parents know that batteries are a hot commodity in any house with children. Be creative.

And dont forget that Dad might need some reading material to get himself up to date on the latest parenting trends. Consider getting him a book on fatherhood, funny or otherwise, or maybe a magazine subscription for daddy, such as American Baby Magazine.

Ask other new dads to think about what toys or objects were particularly helpful when their little ones were inconsolable, and either buy or recommend them for the times when dad-to-be is home alone with Junior.

Comfort Dad:

New Dads are usually pretty stressed out about what there life is going to be like after the new baby comes. Be prepared to have guests tell funny and helpful stories about their own experiences with becoming a daddy. Make it a point to reassure him that his wife is not really crazy, she is just hormonal and this, too, shall pass.

Remember, daddy baby showers don't have to be like the traditional shower, or even called a shower, but you can have one for dad just the same.

Helpful Baby Diaper Changing Tips for 1st Time Parents

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:30 AM

Changing diapers is often one of the biggest challenges for first time parents. Here are some helpful baby diaper changing tips to make you feel like a pro in no time.

A baby's skin is incredibly sensitive. Especially in the early days when you are changing diapers very frequently, the last thing you want your baby to get is a nasty diaper rash. Therefore, many pediatricians recommend that you use simple disposable cotton squares dipped in water to wipe your baby's bottom instead of commercial baby wipes.

Always make sure you dry your baby's bottom with a tissue after wiping.

FOR GIRLS
Never wipe from the rectum forward, because this can easily bring fecal bacteria into the urethra and vaginal area. Instead, wipe front-to-back (just as girls and women do after using the toilet to prevent bladder infections). Also, separate the labia and cleanse lightly to remove and clean all matter. Do not scrub as this will irritate your baby's delicate parts.

FOR BOYS
Plan to get squirted. Your boy will probably also wet his own clothes and maybe even squirt himself in the face occasionally. When you get skillful at diapering, you'll be able to hold a wad of toilet tissue or a clean diaper over his penis with one hand while washing/drying with the other hand.

Keep in mind that your baby's urine is only water and is sterile when it first comes out. So having a sense of humor about changing your baby boy's diapers will go a long way in the beginning until you master this very necessary skill.

Some parents prefer to point the penis down as they put on a fresh diaper. Otherwise, boys tend to pee up and the urine may go out the top of the diaper. It is definitely best to point the penis down until the umbilical cord falls off. Keeping the umbilical cord dry is optimal.

Make sure to clean under the scrotum, where fecal matter can become hidden. If your baby boy has not been circumcised, his foreskin will not yet retract so don't try to make it do so - just wash it with a cotton pad.

If the newborn has just been circumcised, you probably would have received instruction in circumcision care. Some procedures involve a plastic ring that gets no special care, or just a dab of petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment. Other procedures involve a gauze pad that will need to be removed at each diaper change. Dab at the circumcision with a clean, wet cotton ball. You may have been instructed to apply petroleum jelly to the wound or to a new gauze pad. If this is so, then re-wrap the wound. (Look out for discharge or odor and call the doctor if it ever appears to be infected.)

Cloth Diaper Changing Tips:
1. Traditional cloth diapers need pins (or diaper covers). If you keep the pins stuck in a bar of soap, they'll slide through cloth diapers more easily.

2. Put two fingers of your left hand (if you're right-handed) between the diaper and the baby so if the pin sticks someone, it's you.

3. Beware of the possibility of pins unpinning and sticking your baby. Make sure you're not using a "kite" fold that has a pin in the middle over the genital area or stomach, which could be damaged by a loose pin. This should not happen, however, if you are using diaper pins ๏ฟฝ because they have a safety latch. Never use ordinary safety pins for securing your baby's diapers.)

4. If the cloth diapers you bought or were given are not pre-folded, but instead are the large cloth rectangle diapers, you have several options for how to fold them of your choice.

Baby Shower Prizes and Favors

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:26 AM

By Jeanette Pollock

The focus of every baby shower is helping provide the mother to be with the tools she will need to fully care for her new little one. Your baby shower will be no different! But offering your guests baby shower prizes and favors that they can take home with them to thank them for their gifts and commemorate the special day is a gesture that is well worth the time spent in preparation.

What Baby Shower Prizes Will You Choose?

Your baby shower guest list will likely include everyone from an 80 year old grandmother to a childless career minded adult to a few kids of all ages and men. What prizes will make all of these people happy? Thats the challenge. Here are a few ideas for your baby shower game prizes:

* Purchase a variety of prize types and mark them so that you know who to hand to whom when a winner of a certain age or gender is ready to claim their prize.

* Everyone has to eat! Gift certificates for a pound of candy or dinner at a local restaurant will be appreciated by all.

* For girls only parties, gifts like picture frames, picture albums, candles, and bath and beauty products like bubble bath and hand lotion will suit anyone.

What Baby Shower Favors Will You Choose?

Baby shower favors are somewhat more challenging than prizes for the games. You may create bags for the men, bags for the women, and bags for kids if you like, but its easier if you have something that you can give to everyone. Remember, the focus of the baby shower is the baby and the new mom, so the favors can focus on that rather than the guest in particular. Here are some ideas:

* Small puzzles

* Inexpensive handheld games

* Chocolate

* A small picture frame for the new babys picture

* A small candle and holder

Make Your Own Baby Shower Favors

A fun game for your baby shower could involve your guests making their own baby shower favors as one of the games. Perhaps you could provide doll parts so that everyone can create their own baby, craftier friends may be interested in using fabric paints on quilt squares to create hankies even a do it yourself cookie decorating party with some take home boxes make a great baby shower favor and take the pressure off you of coming up with another baby shower game!

Party Ideas for Celebrating a Baptism

Written by Mr.Jongruk on 3:27 AM

By Gail Leino

Sometimes it can be hard to come up with party ideas to celebrate a baptism. The baptism is a religious event during which a young child or an adult is baptized with water to officially make them members of a religion such as with Baptists or Methodists. Often those whove experience the baptism want to celebrate it with a small party. These parties can be geared towards kids or adults or both. You can make the party as involved or as simple as you like, there are no real rules associated with holding a party to commemorate the baptism as long as its suitable and fun for you.

Those looking to hold a party can find plenty of party supplies with religious themes suitable for a party celebrating the baptism. You can purchase paper plates with gold and silver edging and a gold or silver cross emblazoned in the center. This is the same for napkins, and tablecloths. To accent these party supplies with decoration you can pick up hanging dangles in gold and silver colors, streamers, wall hangings and lots of other kinds of decoration. Dont forget to pick up some balloons.

A more kids focused event can feature one of the childs favorite television characters. Lots of kids like Disney characters. How about the Disney Princesses party theme for a little girls baptism? This would be a great theme for the party and give the guest of honor a chance to unwind and have a little bit of fun after the more serious ceremony. You can hand out party favors of feather boas and wands and get paper supplies featuring group shots of the Disney Princesses. These princesses would be Snow White, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty from Beauty and the Beast, and even Cinderella. Dont forget to send out the invitations.
